Anchor House

Anchor House is Central Jersey’s shelter for runaway, homeless and abused youths. For the past 20 years, they have provided a comprehensive program to assist in solving the problems of runaway and abused youths and their families, touching more than 17,000 kids and their families.

This program includes individual and group counseling, temporary shelter, medical attention, drug prevention and education, as well as outreach programs to area students ages 12 to 17. The Anchorage is a transitional living program for homeless youth ages 16 to 21. The newest program, Anchor Link, is reaching out to homeless youths on the street. Anchor House has been recognized by experts in the social services and judicial fields, government officials and media for its work combating one of our nation’s most critical problems-the tragedy of neglected and abused children.
